The Forum of Adriatic and Ionian Cities is pleased to inform you that the 4th Joint Forum of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) and the 2nd Fora of the Adriatic-Ionian Chambers of Commerce will be held in Budva (Montenegro), 7 – 8 May 2019, under the slogan “Integration for the people, development for the region

The EUSAIR Forum is organized by Montenegro in close collaboration with the European Commission and with the support of the EUSAIR Point Facility. The traditional annual event aims to increase the visibility of the EUSAIR and reflect on the progress made by the 3rd Forum held in Catania in May 2018. The Forum will be preceded by the Adriatic and Ionian Council / EUSAIR Ministerial Meeting (event reserved for ministers and to their delegations).

This year the Forum will focus on topics related to the blue tourism and growth sector. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss funding mechanisms for all four thematic pillars of the EUSAIR and share concrete ideas on the future prospects of the Strategy.

Each year the Forum attracts many stakeholders, such as the European Commission and other EU institutions, national ministries, regional and local authorities, the business sector, the university and civil society, who share opinions, exchange experiences and discuss the methods of cooperation. The thematic collateral meetings and the cultural and social events will complete the program of the Forum.

Two forums will be preceded by side events on 6 May 2019.
