On 27 September 2025, the Cultural and Congress Centre Aurum in Pescara will host the event “The Development of the Adriatic-Ionian Area: Sustainability, Blue Economy and Culture”. The meeting will bring together mayors, stakeholders, and representatives of the cities in the area to discuss shared strategies aimed at fostering sustainable growth, enhancing the potential of the blue economy, and promoting the cultural heritage of the Macroregion.

The initiative is part of the Adriatic-Ionian territorial cooperation framework and aims to strengthen institutional dialogue and collaboration among cities, institutions, and local actors.

The event is organised under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, the Municipality of Pescara, the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Cities (FAIC), the Forum AIC, the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative, and UNIADRION.
